Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was an American artist. He was known for his creative and colourful pop art prints. Some examples of his famous art include: Marilyn 1967 and Mao 1972.

He was born in August the 6th 1928. His parents were born in Slovakia. When he was 8 Warhol had a disease called Chorea. While he stayed home each time he finished a page
on his colouring book he would get a chocolate.

Warhol didn’t have was have much friends because he had white blonde hair and he was quiet. Warhol loved to collect autographs of celebrities. Andy went from high school to Carnegie Institute of Technology for university.

During 1960 Warhol created pop art. He did celebrities and supermarket products like(Mao, Campbell soup).

I think that Andy Warhol was a admirable artist. His artwork was always powerful.

Did you know in 1968 Andy Warhol nearly died because he got shot 3 times from a madwoman name Valerie Solanas, but actually he died in 1987 after a gallbladder operation? I am talking about an American artist called Andy Warhol. He is a man that does lots of art. He was famous for doing art of famous people like Mohammed Ali, Marilyn Monroe and also other things.

Andy Warhol’s style of art is called pop art. Pop art means popular art. He did pop art of celebrities and even supermarket products. Warhol painted supermarket products like Coca Cola, Tomato soup.
In his pop art, the artist used bright colors (light blue, yellow, light green) and inverted colours together. Warhol used simple strong shapes and also did screen printing. His art had bold outlines so it can look like real people. Sometimes he silk screened the pictures too.

I think that Andy Warhol is a good artist. My favourite piece of his work so far, is Mohammed Ali because he used some pastel colors.
