Finding Fractions

Dan's day age 11 1/2 Sunday

Mum got her old mod back and serve the family breakfast. Nan gave Dan’s dad and mum a cheque. Dan’s family started to save money. Nan came with a basket of food.

Pt.England

One day Christopher was playing at his backyard. As the day got hotter he started to drink lots of cold water. Then his big brother Byron said ‘Who wants to go to the beach to have a swim?’. His little brother Christopher went with Byron and got some togs. His big brother said ‘You can’t come”. Then Byron started to walk to the beach.



When he got changed he went outside. Then he fell over and his leg twisted and he fell down. Then his leg broke and he started to call for ‘HELP’! He wish he bring his brother for help.



Byron didn’t know but Christopher was following Byron. When Byron saw Christopher Byron said ‘Sorry for not letting you come’. Then Christopher went to get some help. But when Christopher went to get some help no one was around.



Then Byron told Christopher the way home. But when Christopher turn the corner he saw someone. Christopher saw his parents.



Then he told them that ‘Byron broke his leg’. Then mum followed Christopher to Byron. They took Byron to the St.Johns hospital.

Mixed Numbers

I am learning how to change mixed numbers into improper fractions. I have shown my learning.

Whales

Whales are mammals because they drink milk from their mother. Know no animal is bigger then a blue whale. Some whale is larger then 30` meters.

Dinosaurs use to be the largest animal living. Some dinosaurs were larger then 3 classrooms. But dinosaurs die a long time ago.

Whales live in the sea. Some whales are larger then 3 classrooms. Whales live in the sea because they don’t have lungs.


Guess how much a whale weights. A whale weighs around 250 toons. 250 toons is same as a barge.

Making Fractions with Play Dough

On Monday we were learning how to make the same fraction but  equal parts but in different way. We were making a rectangle in quarters  but in 6 different ways. My partner was Peh so.

Each pair got given play doh. Then one person in each group got a bamboo stick. We were also given a plate.

The first thing we done with play dough was making it as a eel. After that we squish it. Then we had to cut off the edges.

Overall it was hard. The part I enjoy was cutting the play dough. I also like making my partner doing most of the work.

Gold Medal

Cameron Leslie was a swimmer from northland, New Zealand. He was in the Paralympic in swimming. Cameron played for New Zealand. Cameron disability is some of is Limbs is missing.

He done the 150 metre individual medley. He won a gold medal and defended it from Beijing games. Leslie said “it’s not easy to defend a Paralympic gold medal, and it was the goal from as soon as we left Beijing”.

Dan went to Sean’s house with Stavros after school. They went to see Sean’s drum kit. Dan wished Sean could play the drums cool.

Dan was nervous because he had to show acrobatic tricks in front of the class

Dan big sister said owed her because she knew that he never had breakfast.

Sean friend stop clapping because they think that Sean is going to smash them.

Dan said “lunch never tasted so good” because he was starving.

Dan thinks that emergencies are wars, floods, fire.

Dan big sister thinks that emergency are voting for people on her phone.

Dan knew that Chop’s didn’t like arguments because Chops put his head on Dan’s lap.
