Oktapodi

On Monday we watched a movie called Oktapodi. It was in Greece. The beginning of the story was when the chef brought the  female octopus from the tank at the fish shop and tried to take the female octopus.

Then the man put the female octopus in a chilly bin and started the van. While he was starting the van the male octopus had enough time to get to the van and held onto it then the van went. When the octopus climbed on to the top it went to the window where the man was and slap him at the face and a dangerous battle began an octopus vs a human. I couldn't believe what  was happening in the film. After that the octopus fell and flew on to the front window. The male octopus, continues to try and save his girlfriend from the chief.They successfully escape from the chef. 


I think the main message of the story was to treat others how you want them to treat you.

My favourite part of the film was when chef fell inside the sea when he thought he caught them. I thought of the film was great because it might teach people a lesson.

Kiwi Grubs For Mohua

Cezar Camp

                                                                           

Last week year 5 and 6 had a school camp at our school.

My team went kayaking at Pt.England Reserve with Mr Burt, Mrs Ferry, and some other people! I was excited when we got there because it was going to be my first time kayaking by myself. I wanted to go and kayak before he told us the rules. There wasn’t enough canoes and life jackets.

Wednesday night was the first night we got to sleep in our tents. Me and Jonson got in trouble because he kept on turning the torch switch on and off. When I went sleep I was hot so I pushed off the sleeping bag and went back to sleep. I heard people snoring, so I woke up and it was Paul. The next night I got more sleep but it was cold.
 

The next morning we did rollerblading in the school breeze. We all took turns at rollerblading. When I was rollerblading Taniela came and bumped me over. So I chased him around until I got him. When I tried to get him I bumped him over instead. So I ran off in case he might try and catch me!!

I hope next time we get more time to kayak! Next time I hope Taniela does not bump me over. And I really hope next time I can get more sleep!

Camp

Yesterday my camp group  went kayaking at Pt.england beach!! 

 When we got there Mr.Burt and his friend's was already there.He told us some rules about where to put your bag.Then we went down the stairs onto the sand and told us how to hold the paddle and after that he forgot to tell us about the lifejacket   then he just remember it !! Then he chose some people to go first and then I had to wait because he didn't chose me. 

When it was my turn to kayak I went by myself. When it was time to go back my friend said I going to bet you back there then I catch up to them and went pass!! 

Blindfold Experience

This week we were practicing  our blindfold experience in the school hall.

We were excited when our teacher told us about it. We had to hop over the chair and climb over the rugby bag, zig-zag through the cones, step on top of the  mattress, go on to the stage and jump off onto the crash pad!

My partner was Jonson, and we had to trust each other with what we will say when it was our turn. We went last on our first turn because people kept going in front of us when we were waiting. 
Finally it was our turn and I went first to get blindfolded and it got tied around my head hard so it can be pitch black!

It was fun climbing over the rugby bags and jumping on the crash pad.

Great Things Take Time

Great things take time. I hope one day I get to be a N.F.L player like the Cowboys and the Bills. In order to get there I will need to work on my passing, kicking, defending and attacking the opponents. If I want to succeed I will have to work hard as J.K. Rowling did.

If you want your work to be perfect you need to plan your writing that you are going to do. Also you will need to edit in your story over and over again. You really need to check because you might put the words and capital letters, fullstops in the wrong spots! Really take time when you do your work so people can be more excited when they read your stories you put on your blog.

When you have edited your writing you put it on your blog so audiences around the world can see the amazing work you have done and leave a good blog comment. Readers around the world would think you have done a good job if you do all of this. Hopefully you have made your work interesting!

If you practice and practice and practice you will make it perfect. Remember: Great Things Take Time!
