Cezar Writing Goal

When I write paragraphs I am learning to write some complex sentences which have more detail.

Did you know that there is 3 type of animals, that live in Antarctica during winter? Their names are called emperor penguins, wed dell seals and Adele penguins.

Emperor penguins have an waterproof coat. Blubber under their skin to keep them warm, during the enormous haling wind blowing past!

While the female penguins are gone, the male emperor penguins put their eggs on their foot. They handle up together to try an keep warm.

For long 3 or 2 months, the female penguins come back with food an the egg hatches. They feed their baby chick   fish.

Finally the male penguins go and hunt for food in a group.  Now it is time for female penguins to take care of their baby chick.

Seals

We are learning to summarise the main points of a paragraph

Seals are mammals that live in oceans around the world. All of the seals at Antarctica are non-eared seals. These seals have lots of blubber to keep them warm.

Seals have thick, short hair on their streamlined body, to keep them warm. They have flippers to help them be superb swimmers. Most of the time, Seals are in the sea.

Seals are clumsy on ice, but in water they are fast and Graceful. Haul is how Seals can get their self on ice. While Seals are on the ice they could give birth to pups or have a rest from swimming.

Crabeater Seals are the most common Seals in Antarctica. There is around thirty million of them. Krill is what they eat not crabs when they are down there.

Whales have  enormous mouths with jaw bones. They have blubber under their skin, that keeps them warm in water that incredibly freezing.

There are 2 type of whales, that are called baleen whales and toothed whales. Peg-like teeth is what the toothed whales have.

Antarctic Penguins

WALT: Summarise the main point of a text, in my own words.

Penguins don’t live in the north.  All of the Penguins live in the southern oceans around the world.

Penguins can’t fly. When penguins go ashore their short legs do little waddling steps.

During winter in Antarctica the sun doesn't rise. While its winter the temperature is below freezing and its gailing most of the time.

Few living things in Antarctica can survive but male Emperor penguins can. All through winter they stay freezing on the cold pack of ice.

To help penguins keep warm they have a thick layer of blubber. Blubber is under their skin.

The penguins grow a overlap fluffy feathers. It is thick and makes an waterproof coat.

Thanks To The Surprise Guest

Yesterday was when someone famous came to our school.  People in hip hop and kappa haka  did a dance to him. Then he gave the Manaiakalani  100,000 dollar cheque. I was surprise!

Then he started to talk about his life. The part what I like about was when he was saying chose the best friends and follow your dreams.

After a while we sing our school song called Strive To Succeed. We were singing while he was standing up.

Thanks Will I Am.

Core Samping

This afternoon I have been learning how to take core samples. We  took samples from a cupcake and guessed what the core (inside) looked like. In real life geologists take samples of what is underneath the land.
