The Weekend

On Sunday, I watched the game the Storms against the Sharks. The part of the game that I started to watch was the 22 minute mark. I saw the Storm winning but then the Sharks caught up.

They caught up by kicking the ball by doing a bomb. Then someone came in to catch the ball, got it and put it down on the try line and scored. When they kicked it, the ball went over the goalpost and then it was almost half time.

When the Storms  kicked off they almost had the ball, but then  someone knocked it on. So then they tapped and ran, but  instead he passed it to his partner next to him. Then he ran up and got tackled. He played the ball, and then the someone passed it out.

In the end the Sharks won the game. Overall it was a fansite game.

Swimming

Today room Fourteen is going to Y.M.C.A pools at 11:15. I am not that thrilled going to the swimming pools because I don’t really like it beacause I am not swimming.

When we get there the people who go swimming have a quick rinse. People who don’t go swimming go and sit on the bench. Then they speedily get change out of their school  uniforms and rush into their togs.  As I sit on the bench I watch my friend get into the pool when the instructor says so.

Group one are learning to do kicking underwater, hold on to the board. Group three is learning to do brain,goggle, cheek. Group two is learning to do swimming to island.

Hopefully next time I can go swimming.

Shipwreck

                           I have been reading a story called Living In A Shipwreck by Anne Young.  I have found a image of a shipwreck. This story is about a shipwreck and tells the story of what happend. The part  I like was when the bottom of the shipwreck sank.  

Andy Warhol

Did you know in 1968 Andy Warhol nearly died because he got shot 3 times from a madwoman name Valerie Solanas, but actually he died in 1987 after a gallbladder operation? I am talking about an American artist called Andy Warhol. He is a man that does lots of art. He was famous for doing art of famous people like Mohammed Ali, Marilyn Monroe and also other things.

Andy Warhol’s style of art is called pop art. Pop art means popular art. He did pop art of celebrities and even supermarket products. Warhol painted supermarket products like Coca Cola, Tomato soup.
In his pop art, the artist used bright colors (light blue, yellow, light green) and inverted colours together. Warhol used simple strong shapes and also did screen printing. His art had bold outlines so it can look like real people. Sometimes he silk screened the pictures too.

I think that Andy Warhol is a good artist. My favourite piece of his work so far, is Mohammed Ali because he used some pastel colors.

My Holidays

In the holidays I went youthtown and on Thursday  the  9 to 14 years old went to action raceway rules. We went on the bus to get there. It was close to snowplanet. When we were there we had to line up.

When we went inside we had to check our height and I was just tall enough to go on the go karts. When went inside the room to get a helmet on so we don’t damage our heads. We had to leave our bags in the room and then we went out.

Overall I enjoyed the go karts the most because I cut off people lots of time. Next holidays I want to stay home and play the game.
