Frog Adventure
1. Create an acrostic poem for the words HIGHGATE (using one key word for each letter).
- For each word write a small sentence why you chose this word, e.g. H - Holidays: with Nana and Poppa every holiday.kinds of animals and plants live on the farm? In highgate farm there is a frog,dogs,lots of sheep,dogs an cows are there.
Have you been highgate farm.
It is in New Zealand.
Guess what they have Bees,Sheeps,Cows, Tadpole, and even Frogs.
How did they find the frog they were having a race an they went down a bottom path an found a pond surrounded by grass and raupo.
Green raupo and grass was the same colour as the frog.
At the pond there was hundreds of tadpoles an each time they cope up with a bucket there was dozens in there.
They went to go and get their nana and papa to look.
End of the day they had a competition to see who could find the largest Frog and smallest Tadpole.
3. What is the English for Raupo? Did you know that Raupo english name is called Flax.
4. Pretend that you are one of the children having a holiday with Nana and Poppa.
- Write a letter back to your parents about your holiday with Nana and Poppa.
- Write a diary entry about your day at the pond, at the bottom of the park.
Hi,
I had a great time with nana an papa exploring the fram. We found a frog on a flax in a swamp. There were plenty of tadpoles so we had a challenge to see who can find the biggest frog an smallest tadpole.
3. On page 26, why do you think the word MUCH is written in capital letters? On page 26 the word MUCH harder to catch was because there were lots of grass.
5. Why are the frogs harder to catch? The frog’s were much harder to catch because it was camouflaged so they could think it is a part of the plants but it ain't.

Swimming at the beach I was freezing. It was starting to get cold so I went back on the beach. I was sitting on the sand with a towel wrap around. I started to think to explore so I went exploring. I saw Jorad Alofi hiding behind a rock chopping his mum for dinner and a rabbit but then a person with a mask killed him.
9. Choose one sentence from above and illustrate this adventure using Tux paint. (Remember to insert your picture below)
